DabaRank publishes how we research, cite, and correct our own content — the same standard we expect AI platforms to apply when they decide which brands are worth recommending. This page explains that standard and applies to every article, comparison, and data page on this site.
How we research
Every statistic we publish about AI visibility comes from a primary source: either a run of real prompts against real AI platforms, or a named third-party study we link to directly. When we say a brand "ranks" or "gets cited", that claim is backed by prompts we actually executed across the 8 major AI platforms we track (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, and Google AI Overviews) — not a survey, and not an estimate we made up.
How we cite
Every statistic in our content links to the source it came from, inline, at the point it's used. Where a number can change over time (market share, user counts, pricing), we date the claim so readers know how current it is, rather than presenting it as a permanent fact.
Competitor comparisons
When we compare DabaRankto other tools, we state the as-of date for any pricing or feature claim and link to the competitor's own pricing or docs page rather than paraphrasing from memory. When a competitor changes their pricing or features in a way that makes our comparison inaccurate, we update the page — we don't leave stale comparisons live to make our own numbers look better.
Corrections policy
Every page shows a Published date and a Last updated date. If we find an error, we fix it. Material changes — a corrected statistic, a reversed conclusion, an updated comparison — are noted in the page itself, not silently edited away. Minor copyedits (typos, formatting) don't require a note.
Found an error? Email us and we'll investigate and correct it.
AI disclosure
We use AI tools to help draft and edit our own content, the same way most publishers do in 2026. We do not use AI to fabricate statistics, invent quotes, or generate the underlying ranking and citation data we report — that data always comes from real prompt runs, described above. A human reviews every published page before it goes live.
Independence
DabaRank is a commercial product in the AI visibility category we write about. When we compare ourselves to competitors or make claims about our own product, we disclose that we build a competing tool so readers can weigh our conclusions accordingly. We hold our own product to the same evidentiary standard described on this page.
